- Analyzed earth observation data to distinguish crops from other plants and objects
- Used NDVI signature for classifying the crops as wheat or non-wheat in 13 states
- Identified estimate of the total area of land that was used for wheat production
Yield prediction
- Wheat crop yield was computed from sowing to harvest
- The total wheat production was calculated as the product of yield per hectare and the total land area cultivated
- Analysed pixel-wise data for a 10x10 grid in the country to predict crops and yield with high accuracy.
